- 1939: Tripura Congression-Subhash Chandra Bose elected as the president defeating Pattabhi Sitaramaiya, Bose resigned Congress and formed ALL INDIA FORWARD BLOCK (wihin Congress)
- 1942: Cripps Mission (by Staphord Clips) fails; Quit India Movement (Lord Linlithgo-Viceroy) launched, Indian National Army Established by Netaji, In 1943 Netaji formed 'Azad Hind Sarkar' and take oath as the PM.
- 1946: Naval Mutiny; Cabinet Mission Plan announced
- 1947: Mountbatten Plan announced; India gains independence
